About Em
Em Fields is currently a senior at the State University of New York at Oneonta majoring in music industry, and minoring in audio arts production. Prior to Oneonta, he was an instrumentalist for the Region IX Honor Band, an audition and selection-based group on the best instrumentalists in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. Em is currently working as the Design Manager at the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center at SUNY Oneonta, handling marketing, graphics, and public relations.
Outside of professional ventures, Em is an ensemble performer and instrumentalist, playing bass clarinet, Bb clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, vocals, and guitar. Em is currently working with the woodwind ensemble at SUNY Oneonta, notably playing Klezmer and Holst pieces, while also conducting and leading the ensemble for a chorale piece known as the Saint-Anthony Choral by Joseph Haydn. He has performed at the Black Oak Tavern and the B- Side Ballroom in Oneonta, New York with these groups, performing alongside the rock ensembles. Prior to his tenure with Oneonta music groups, he performed in the Hedgesville High School Marching Band, playing bass clarinet for the marching season and concert band season. With the band, he has played in Hershey Stadium in Hershey Park, Pennsylvania and Dorney Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Em is currently seeking more knowledge in the music industry, more specifically in the fields of film scoring and production and will use his professional and academic experience to further explore his career.
